Sometimes it's the littlest things that make me smile. Soft light through a beautiful wood window is one of them. This is the first retreat I've over done and I'm so in love with the beautiful people I've met. With only three days left to soak up the Mexican sun, I plan on savouring every moment of inspiration, belly laughs and connection while I'm here. If I've learned anything, it's that life is beautiful when you you're willing to go outside if your comfort zone. From surfing to headstands, I'm pushing myself to go all in and I'm loving it! The adventure continues and I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
Black and white is always a favourite of mine. Never been fooled to think that you need a big space to pull it off. This chic ensuite is proof that a little drama can go a long way. Featured in @styleathome. Photo by @tracey_ayton Designed by @curatedbychrissy
Drape me in elegance, grace and charm. Drape my home in the same. Drapes don't have to feel stodgy and traditional. They can reflect your personality and can beautifully balance a space. Loving this abstract fabric by @kellywearstler. Available @curatedhomebychrissyco
Lighting the way to beautiful design is all about the right light fixtures. I'm loving this @shopkwearstler fixture. Now available in our shop @curatedhomebychrissyco.
Inspired Living Comes From Inspired Interior Design
The first step for any interior design project is to establish an inspiration board to set the tone for your project. Pinterest and Instagram are great resources for gleaming fresh inspiration and new ideas. We encourage our clients to be bold when cultivating images that inspire them. Don't be afraid to think outside the box. If you see an image completely unrelated to design, such as an equestrian rider and their horse and the cognac colour has you swooning, it's noteworthy. As a matter of fact, we prefer more abstract forms of inspiration as we feel they say more about a person than just another image of someone else's home. You are our inspiration after all, so cultivate some original inspiration and let us help translate your natural curiosities into a space that represents who you are.
