So often the bedroom is the space that clients want to compromise when their budget escalates. Often the excuse is that no one will see it but them. No matter how many times I hear this, it brakes my heart every time I hear this. Of bourse being my sassy self, I chime in with my two cents. 'It's the first place you see where when you wake up and the last thing you see when you go to bed. It's the one space in your home where you can be vulnerable and intimate with your beloved. Don't you matter?!'
Wether it's a piece of art for your living room, some stunning velvet chairs for the dining room or a an exquisite bed for your love nest, splurge to inspire your senses not to simply impress you guests.
Inspiration comes from a multitude of sources for me. If something's got the right colour or curves, I take notice. This sex on wheels has me hoping that I'll find the right bachelor for a design I've been dreaming up.
What have you seen lately that has turned your head?
Beautiful design is all about creating a sense of intrigue and allure. This space isn't even furnished and it's already a room that begs you to come in. Never underestimate the power of wall paneling and marble.
So I have a think for vintage door knockers and in particular beautiful brass European craftsmanship with a stunning patina. Not only is it a chic piece of history, its Eco friendly. What's not to love?!
Inspired Living Comes From Inspired Interior Design
The first step for any interior design project is to establish an inspiration board to set the tone for your project. Pinterest and Instagram are great resources for gleaming fresh inspiration and new ideas. We encourage our clients to be bold when cultivating images that inspire them. Don't be afraid to think outside the box. If you see an image completely unrelated to design, such as an equestrian rider and their horse and the cognac colour has you swooning, it's noteworthy. As a matter of fact, we prefer more abstract forms of inspiration as we feel they say more about a person than just another image of someone else's home. You are our inspiration after all, so cultivate some original inspiration and let us help translate your natural curiosities into a space that represents who you are.
