A blend of old world charm and modern playfulness. This Vancouver home beautifully balances formal and casual elements allowing for an essence of approachability and charm. A lovely blend of two characters.

 

Objective: To transform a terribly dated and chopped up home into a more transitional space. With a the primary goal to increase the size and functionality of the kitchen while updating all areas on the 1st floor of the home so the couple could finally feel proud to entertain in their spacious home.

The Space: 2000 SQ FT main floor of a 3500 SQ FT Home that was built in the 1980’s.

Project: Renovation Design of Kitchen, bar, living room, dining room, great room, office and powder room. Interior decorating for all areas.

Inspiration: Traditional elements fused with contemporary nuances.  Neutral color palette with soft drama and eclectic artwork.

 The Clients: A playful career oriented couple that wanted a space that they would reflect them both and allow for a family later on.

 What We Love:

•   Custom designed and built bookcases and bar.

•   Marble fireplace details in both the living room and great room.

•   Exquisite brass brass light details.

•   Unexpected fusion of ornate and casual elements.

•   Curated art selections. 

 What We Did:

•   Established full scope of work and Project managed the renovation from concept to completion.

•   Worked directly with the millwork company and the carpenter to design and oversee installation of all architectural elements including library wall, fireplace designs and complete kitchen design.

•  Comprehensive Interior Design Plan including architectural elements, electrical layout, lighting, paint, furniture, art, and accessories.

•   Worked directly with seamstress to design, manufacture, and install window treatments.

•   Worked directly with client to curate art collection. Overall styling and accessorizing.
